The International Forum on the Future of Constitutionalism presents the inaugural 2020 Global Colloquium in Constitutional Law, designed specifically for early-career scholars. Free registration is available here. The registration deadline is 4:00pm EDT on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

Early-career scholars are invited to propose to present their own paper or work-in-progress in this free online Global Colloquium, which will be led by Richard Albert. Each session will feature a paper presentation by an early-career scholar to be followed by comments from a senior scholar in the field. The rest of the time will be devoted to questions and comments from attendees.

This Global Colloquium will offer early-career scholars the opportunity to learn how to present a paper and also to deliver one, to learn how to serve as a discussant, to receive feedback on a paper or work-in-progress, and to deepen their knowledge in various domains of constitutional law.

Registration is free. Registrants may choose to join the Colloquium without proposing to present a paper. Those registrants who propose to present a paper of their own will be invited to identify their preferred senior discussants. Richard Albert will endeavor to recruit one of the preferred senior scholars to join the colloquium to discuss the paper.

The 2020 Global Colloquium in Constitutional Law will begin in September.  The start time for each session of this Colloquium will be chosen in consultation with the authors of the selected papers/works-in-progress. Papers will be selected in August. The number of paper presenters will be limited but all are welcome to attend.

There is no cost to participate in this Colloquium.

Thank you for your interest in this first inaugural Global Colloquium in Constitutional Law, directed by Richard Albert, William Stamps Farish Professor in Law and Professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin.
