The Constitutional Studies Program at the University of Texas at Austin, in collaboration with the International Forum on the Future of Constitutionalism, welcomes submissions for its 3rd Graduate Conference on Constitutional Change.

Subject: This Conference is designed specifically for graduate students currently writing on subjects involving constitutional change, including formal and informal amendment, constitutional mutation, constitutional dismemberment, constitutional reform, constitutional replacement, and related subjects.

Program: Graduate students are invited to present a work-in-progress in this Conference. The Conference will also feature instructional sessions on subjects related to constitutional change. Presentations and instructional sessions will be supplemented by a seminar on "How to Write a Book Proposal." This seminar will be of particular interest to graduate students interested in publishing opportunities with the Hart Series in Constitutionalism in Latin America and Caribbean, Oxford Series in Comparative Constitutionalism, and the Routledge Series in Comparative Constitutional Change. ​

​Cost: There is no cost to participate in this Graduate Conference. Group meals will be generously sponsored by the Constitutional Studies Program. Registrants are responsible for their own travel and lodging. Attendees are encouraged to make travel and lodging arrangements as soon as possible. Hotel recommendations will be shared with registrants.

Date and Location: This Conference will be held fully in-person at the University of Texas at Austin from Monday, December 9, 2024, to Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Registration is open until Monday, September 2, 2024. Early acceptances are available for those needing letters of invitation for VISA purposes.

This conference is hosted by Richard Albert, Professor of World Constitutions and Director of Constitutional Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
